Another darling NEW label from Spanish Terra de Falanis (the other is "Plic Plic Plic" from the Montsant DO in northeastern Spain) MUAC!, from the island of Mallorca (not far from Barcelona), is made from the little known Callet and Manto Negro varieties with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
"MUAC!" is the sound of a kiss between a couple under a tree.
It's sweet and spicy - brimming with chocolate and juicy red berries, earth and crushed purple flowers. On the palate, briary fruit, leather and cigarbox notes are layered with earthy, spicy flavours. This wine has a lovely brightness, making it a perfect food wine for tomato-based sauces or Spanish tapas.
