Through a process of drying grapes called appassimento, this wine and others like it become much more concentrated. The Campofiorin continues the tradition of using classic Veronese grape varieties to produce this aromatic red blend. Expect cherries and violets, sweet plums, allspice and vanilla with leathery undertones leading to a concentrated but fresh palate with a savoury core. Excellent balance, a smooth texture and a lengthy finish trailing fine spice and toasted flavours.
Delicious!
Pair with: risotto, grilled meats, hearty pastas and aged cheeses
