The 677 cases of CedarCreek's 2007 premium tier Pinot Noir is aged for 17 months in French oak barrels. I love the new labels on the Platinum Series as well...
Aromas of fresh rainforest floor, ripe red berry compote, fine spice and hints of cocoa/mocha with undertones of smoke and meat. Medium-bodied on the palate with tart dry berry and spice flavours - there is plenty of bright acidity here and although it is smooth, there is a fine grain to the texture that will probably smooth out even more with time.
Very nice.
