Fragrant, persistent, pristine.
Made from Gewurztraminer with Riesling, Pinot Auxerrois, Muscat and Pinot Blanc and laden with liberal fruit; think stone fruits, green apples and a suggestion of tropical fruits and citrus layered with honey and spring blossoms. These past few vintages seem drier than earlier examples and this one is fresh, juicy and has hints of saline/savoury notes. A persistent finish has some phenolic grip.
Pair: pate, strong cheeses, spicy dishes and pork dishes.
