This Pinot immediately comes across as the most powerful of the three I recently tasted, which includes the 2011 Road 13 Pinot Noir and the 2011 Road 13 ''Fleet Road' Pinot Noir.
Aromas are of rainforest floor, toasted brown spice and grilled notes with sweet cherry and dusty plums and a it has a savoury core. The palate is quite brooding and concentrated - almost chewy. The fruit is sweet and the acidity bright. The finish is tart, earthy and trails cocoa flavours. Very good length here, but give it at least a year to age before indulging.
