Outstanding, precise, exceptional.
There's little surprise with Germany's massive thirst for fizz, they would be making outstanding versions of their own. The Riesling for this traditional method sparkling is planted on sandstone limestone and soils; the wine went through secondary fermentation in bottle and spent 20 months on lees before being disgorged.
On par with quality Champagne, but with all the attitude of a Riesling, it's an exceptional bottle.
Golden glinted with persistent fine bubbles, the nose offers unripe crunchy peach notes layered with green apple turnovers, creamy lemon butter and yeasty undertones. Dry and nervy, complex and precise, it explodes in the mouth and blankets the palate with pristine citrus and snappy stone fruit flavours. The finish is long and fine.
