Sauvage, peppery, meaty.
This unfined and unfiltered Syrah from the east Osoyoos Bench but it has a definitive cool-climate stamp.
Leather and bacon fat aromas are layered with wild red berries and toasted spices, bittersweet chocolate and roasted meats. Tart red fruit flavours keep in line with the palate, it is bloody, peppery, spicy (quite sauvage) and had dark cocoa and sage flavours trailing on the finish. Definitely more Cote Rotie than Cornas.
