Supple, concentrated, spiced.
At 170 years old, Yalumba is the oldest family owned winery in Australia, home to one of the largest viticulture nurseries and the only winery cooperage in the country.
Yalumba was also the first to commercially plant Viognier in the Barossa Valley in 1980 when there was only an estimated 11-14 hectares in the world, primarily in Northern Rhone Valley. For many wine lovers, this wine was their first taste of the Viognier variety.
It's a popular wine with charming notes of peach stone and lemon wax, wood smoke and eggshell, ginger, burnt honey and pine. Supple and concentrated with distinct salt, spice and citrus peel tones. The finish has texture and lingers with citrus pith.
A delicious partner to spicy fish tacos or exotic Moroccan dishes.
