Pretty, juicy, dry.
Located on the Naramata Bench, Domaine Roche is owned by Penelope and Dylan Roche, and while they are established in the Okanagan Valley, they have roots in Bordeaux and Burgundy.
The estate vines (farmed organically) are located on the southern edge of the Naramata Bench, overlooking the city of Penticton and Okanagan Lake, and are rooted in a mix of silt, organic matter and gravel.
The vineyard adjoins the winery and includes Schonberger, Zweigelt, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (the latter two were planted in the summer of 2017).
This Gris comes from the organic Kozier Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, it was fermented and aged in stainless, maturation took place with fine lees for four months before bottling.
Expect aromas of honeysuckle and Bartlett pears, lime, orange blossoms and undertones of grass clippings after the rain. Tangy lime and zesty kumquat flavours mingle with dulcet pear notes. The finish is dances across the tongue--mouthwatering.
A wine for fish, chicken salad, creamy pastas.
