Slick, creamy, fleshy.
The Hatfield's Fuse is an aromatic proprietary blend ( the XXXIX is Viognier, Chardonnay Musque, Semillon, Optima, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer), that I've not tasted since the 2016 vintage.
Creamy and very ripe yellow fruit flavours are layered with grilled lemon, leesy notes and coddled egg yolk and brulee. It has a similar over-ripe palate that is fleshy and off-dry. Slick in texture, it has concentration and a pithy and spicy finish.
Pair: fish & chips, crab cakes or spicy noodle salads.
