Harmonious, silky, complex.
Monte del Fra is located in Custoza, only 15km from Lake Garda near Verona and the Lena di Mezzo is an entirely terraced estate of 18 hectares that lies in the hilly heart of Fumane. It is comprised of clay and limestone soils.
A classic blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella the 2016 speaks to wild cherry and vanilla aromas melded with Turkish coffee, balsamic and dried flowers. The palate is supple and full-bodied with lovely balance and flavours of dried cherries, mocha, prune plums and tobacco. It is silky on the tongue with a notable fleshy character. Harmonious and complex and it still has youthful vigor.
