Mature, woven, complex.
One Faith Vineyards is owned by businessman Bill Lui who has his WSET and has taken winemaking courses through UC Davis in California. He is joined by Richard Cleve a veteran Okanagan viticulturalist who planted the (now) One Faith Black Sage vineyard in Oliver in 1992. They make nine wines including this, their top tier Bordeaux-inspired blend (135 cases made of this vintage) which is showing age. Expect notes of balsamic and leather, cassis and vanilla, tobacco, hay and leather, licorice and prunes. It's supple and complex, chalky tannins line the palate. The flavours of dried fruits, tobacco, leather and spice echo the nose, it's wonderfully woven and balanced but definitely drinking now.
