Berries, slick dry.
Lakeside Cellars is a newish 14-acre estate on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
Made from 100% Cinsault, which was grown in the Lakeshore Vineyard, The 2021 pink smells of dried apricot and honey, tangy red berries, cedar shakes and tomato leaf. In the mouth, flavours of cedar and tobacco, dried berries and orange zest dominate. It is slick and dry with a refreshing nature and good structure.
