Argentina 2010

This South American wine producing country is wonderfully diverse and offers fantastic value. From its Torrontes in the "North" where the highest vineyards on Earth are located, to the famous Mendoza Malbecs (in the mid-region of Cuyo) and to the cold-windswept Patagonia in the far south where Pinot Noir and sparkling are a driving force.
And while Mendoza does produce around two-thirds of the wine in this high-altitude vine heaven, don't disregard her other regions...

You can find plenty of Argentine wine in government and private wine stores and taste a mountain more at the upcoming Vancouver Playhouse Wine Festival - April 19-25, 2010 where they will share the spotlight with the wines of New Zealand.
See you there!

Who is Wine Diva?
WineDiva is my alter ego. She wears a cork tiara and is proof that a girl can have her w(h)ine and drink it too! WineDiva.ca is a tongue-in-cheek approach to my very serious passion for all things wine. It is my goal to make wine fun, to make this website subtly educational & deviously inspirational. Vintage reciting wine snobs beware, this WineDiva is painting the wine world pink and making it her own! Care to join me?
