Here's an impressive white, which has me dreaming of relaxing on the sofa, remote in my control and watching chick flicks while I sip it with sweet, buttery cornbread or a huge chunk of smoked cheese.
The aromas are vibrant citrus and melon, creamed pears and caramel with vanilla and sweet spices. The palate is creamy, almost buttery. It has loads of vanilla liqueur and candied, spiced nut flavours. Wonderful concentration with a clingy, citrusy finish. And, although it sounds like a big butterscotch Chardy, it's very well balanced.
As I stated, smoked cheese, buttered popcorn or cornbread will work extremely well and also roasted chicken and creamy pastas.
