This is a very fragrant wine with a feminine nose. Attractive aromas of sweet raspberry and cherry with a potpourri of dried violets and cedar chips atop leather and forest floor. The palate is supple and earthy on the entry with fine spice, black tea and cedarbox flavours. Restrained and slightly muted in the mouth at time of tasting and showing less mid-palate weight of Road 13's other two Pinots I've recently tasted.
Quite restrained and young, I'm hoping to taste this wine again in another year to see its progression.
