Zesty, persistence, lemony.
It's been a few years since I'd tasted the Stina wines of Croatia; some sharp new labels have really modernized their look, but they are terribly hard to read. Nonetheless, this wine is made from the Dalmatian Vugava grape which is grown on the island of Brac in the Adriatic, home to Stina.
Ripe yellow fruit and honey, pine, beeswax and lemon balm aromas lead to a creamy palate with lemon curd and candle wax. It's zesty and shows notable complexity and persistence, focus and precision.
