The colour in this wine is starting to turn from ruby into slightly brown due to its age. It has expressive and pretty aromas of violets and star anise, cherries and wild red currents, vanilla, spicebox and typical Pinot Noir notes of forest floor. There is more power on the palate than expected, very good tannic structure here. Overall, it has excellent balance, the freshness/acidity is notable. A very complete and classic Pinot.
