But of Course, its all so
obvious...
Kicking-ass with steak sauce, cheese spread and now wine!
Mike Ditka (formerly Da coach of the Chicago Bears) has joined forces with a
California winery and will begin shipping five Ditka wines this week.
Apparently Ditka's wife loves Pinot Grigio-so of course he's running
interference to prevent a penalty with that one, but there will also
be a Merlot in the same point spread. For a few dollars and yards more
($15-$17) you can hitch and go a Chardonnay or a Cabernet Sauvignon
and if you want to score a touchdown you'll want to indulge in the Kick
Ass Red (Zin, Petit Syrah and Syrah) for $40-$50 USD.
The wines are described by a Chicago based buyer as "very user-friendly"
with " a lot of fruit" .
For those of you in the US, next time you are in Costco be sure to pick up some
Ditka wines to go with your Ditka frozen pork chops, Ditka steak sauces and
Ditka cheese spread.
Someone give me a heads up if they arrive in Canada. I wouldn't want to
be off-side and as you know I have an overabundance of anti-snobbish
curiosity!
