Morande 'Pinero' Sauvignon Blanc, Curico Chile, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
This is a refreshing and pretty wine without the overly assertive green/herbal aromas recognized in other Sauvignon Blancs. Clean mineral and delicate spring blossom aromas, guava, passion-fruit and snap peas with a hint of grass clippings. It is smooth on the palate with some creaminess to the texture with plenty of citrus and peach skin flavours. The finish is zesty and mouth-watering... ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen

Morande 'Pinoero' Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley Chile, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
A lovely vibrant ruby hue with aromas of crushed violets, cranberry and red cherries, warm spice and cedar chips. It has substantial power for a pinot but the texture is wrapped in silk, it shows bright acidity and mixed sweet/tart red fruit flavours and loads of spice. The finish is a tad hot, the alcohol is 14.5%, but otherwise good Pinot character and an absolutely delicious one for the value. ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen

An earthy and mysterious Pinot Noir with cherries and prominent briary fruit aromas, leather, dark cocoa, smoke, mossy-menthol tones and forest floor notes. On the palate it's smooth and earthy, medium-bodied with good acidity and spiked with savoury flavours, more briary fruit and lingering spice and char on the finish. Vina Santa Cruz 'Chaman' Colchagua Valley Chile, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
This Chilean red blend of Carmenere and Cabernet has savoury aromas - mixed red fruit, herbs and green olives, smoked/meaty notes and spice. The palate is supple with loads of sweet fruit on the entry before the savoury flavours kick in - rich dark earth, roasted coffee, smoked spices and chocolate with fine tannins lingering. Pair with traditional Chilean meat barbecue and salsas... ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen
