Antinori Vin Santo Del Chianti Classico, Italy, 2002
Readers rated this wine:
Smooth like cognac with parallel aromas. Rich, slightly sherried and nutty with hints of spice and earth. Not too sweet, warm and elegant. Great with nutty chocolates-dark chocolate covered almonds, milk chocolate peanut clusters, dark chocolate macadamia nuts and cashews. Surprisingly tasty with Purdy's Hedgehogs and Hagensborg "Truffle Pig' white chocolate raspberry cream filled bars!

Aveleda 'Casal Garcia' Vinho Verde, Portugal
Readers rated this wine:
Don't let its classic blue label fool you, inside is a vibrant, vivace wine that you should consider buying-by-the-case!
Bright tree fruit, mineral and citric aromas lead the way to a fresh, vivace (slightly bubbly or prickly) and crisp mouthful of goodness. Again tree fruits, citrus, hints of herbs mineral, appear on the palate with just a kiss of sweetness balanced by lively acidity and a softly rounded texture.
Great value!

Big House Red, California, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
The baker's dozen blend of varieties (including: Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache and Montepulciano) in this fun, screw-capped red express aromas of berries and plums, leather and cigarbox with plenty of peppery spice notes. There is nice complexity for the price, it is a charming wine with a supple texture and rustic edge. Flavours of berries, chocolate and mixed spices linger across the palate. The folks at Big House recommend spaghetti bolognese, lasagna or grilled meat to pair with this affordable red.
