Circus Malbec, Mendoza Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:
Circus comes from the historical, Mendoza-based Bodegas Escorihuela (makers of the 1884 wines and others). The Malbec offers rich aromas of chocolate and blackberries layered with roasted coffee, cherries and brown spice bound to a concentrated and savoury core. It has an appealing brightness on the palate, which lends a juiciness to plum and black berry flavours. It is a substantial red, slightly chewy with roasted mocha lingering across the finish. Circus Sauvignon Blanc, Argentina, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
This Sauvignon Blanc intrigues me - not so much the super racy version we know from New Zealand but more old-world, Loire perhaps? The aromas are honeycomb and rich minerals, some white fruits and citrus at first, then tropical fruits appear - melon and pineapple. The palate is weighty, almost oily with soft acidity - beeswax and fresh mineral flavours reappear on the palate with just a suggestion of typical Sauvignon herbaceousness. Circus Sauvignon Blanc, Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:
This fragrant Sauvignon Blanc is a more subtle than its Kiwi counterparts, but entirely as enjoyable. Expect aromas of tropical fruit and grapefruit, citrus and a dose of herbal/grassy notes with some richer honey into caramel undertones. It has a surprising weight on the palate balanced with lively acidity. Citrusy flavours lead, followed with grass and herbs and it has a warm, slightly toasty, dry finish.

Circus Torrontes, Mendoza Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:
Argentina's white grape, Torrontes is finally (deservedly) hitting its stride with the rest of the world. The Circus wines come from the historical, Mendoza-based Bodegas Escorihuela (makers of the 1884 wines and others) and this Torrontes is utterly delicious.
It is fragrant - a beguiling blend of lime oil, jasmine, tropical and stone fruits with honey. It is slick and wonderfully weighted on the palate but also very bright. The flavours echo its aromas - lime zest and honey, warm spices and tropical fruits. It has lovely concentration, vibrant acidity and a long, clingy finish. Reviewed April 2012

Clairault Semillon~Sauvignon Blanc, Margaret River Australia, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
The aromas in the glass come to you - there is no denying the assertive grassy, herbal and crisp citrus-y bouquet or the elderberry, gooseberry, honey and juicy green apple notes... On the palate it has smooth acidity with a gently rounded palate and flavours of passion fruit, citrus, cut grass and snap peas. The texture is quite lush - almost oily, the finish is fresh. Classic pairing - seafood or creamy, bright cheeses. ©copyright 2008 Daenna Van Mulligen
