Camelot Vineyards Merlot, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
You may not have heard of this North Okanagan producer before, but their winery is a busy one - a home base for several other BC wineries who don't yet have the facilities to make thier own wine.
This Merlot has a lot of charm - aromas of maraschino cherries, sweet red plum, leather and a hint of green herbs and baking spices. It is a smooth wine in the mouth with juicy acidity and integrated tannins. I like this style, Merlot does not have to big and boozy to be appreciated. Recommended pairings: lamb, vegetarian bean chili or creamy Camembert.

Camelot Vineyards Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley BC, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
Located in east Kelowna, Camelot Vineyards is now into its second vintage releases. The Pinot Gris shows musky honeyed notes, roasted pears, green apple, vanilla and sweet spice notes with earthy/mushroomy undertones. Expect sweetness on the palate with honey, orange peel and spice on the palate. Quite straightforward with a tart finish.

Goddess by St. Hubertus, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
Swathed in chartreuse this mullti-varietal white blend is made by women and is geared toward a female drinker. It's a highly aromatic wine - liberal exotic floral notes, Turkish delight, lychee, sweet spices, rose oil and a hint of herbs. Rose oil and marzipan leas the palate, joined by, baking spice and pralineish flavours. There is plenty of concentration, it is sweet with an almost oily texture. Chill it down and serve it on the patio or partner with spicy Asian-inspired dishes.

La Petite Paille Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
From West Kelowna's Little Straw Vineyards, this attractive little Pinot has some solid classic Pinot Character. On the nose, expect spicy red cherries and currents with a hint of black raspberry swirled together with leather, carob and rainforest floor. In classic style, it's a bit restrained on the palate but the acidity is lively, its smooth, has tart fruit flavours and powdery tannins clinging to the finish. Pair with smoked oysters and brie on crostini, roasted beets, pumpkin or creamy mushroom gnocchi.
