If you like Gewurztraminer you'll love the Argentine varietal Torrontes!
Succulent aromas of lychee, melon, lemongrass and orange blossoms with star anise and ginger root tones. The palate is dry but unctuous, the flavours echo the aromas with the addition of a spritz of lime and a hint of herbs, then the finish pours on the spice.

A blend of Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet with prominent earthy notes and loads of red fruit - berries, plums and cherries with hints of vanilla. The Cabernet 'pops' on the palate with cassis, tobacco and soft spice flavours. The wine is medium-full bodied, the entry smooth, the mid-palate has an appealing dusty texture and the finish shows chewy, youthful tannins.
One of only a few wines available in BC from this very southern region of Patagonia.

I was a fan of this wine before I ever visited Susana Balbo's Dominos del Plato winery in Mendoza and I continue to be so - especially now that the price has come down a bit.
It is a highly perfumed wine that exudes lime oil, tangerine peel, tropical flowers and exotic spice, green melon and starfruit aromas. It has impressive concentration a sensuous texture and practically vibrates with taut citrus, sweet spice and rich fruit flavours. The finish is racy and persistent.
Pair with spicy crab cakes, tofu in coconut curry or Moroccan spiced pumpkin cous cous.
