Burrowing Owl Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
Always a delicious Cabernet Franc, the Burrowing Owl Winery version erupts with chocolate covered cherry aromas, currents and wild herbs followed by warm spice, dark earth and a savoury core of smoked meat. It is a full-bodied wine, fresh with bright berry fruit and hints of cedarbox and pepper lingering. The tannins are firm, the palate is still youthful and a bit tight but give it some time and decant prior to drinking. Bravo! ©copyright 2010 Daenna Van Mulligen

Burrowing Owl Cabernet Sauvignon, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
You'll want to dive right into this glass of Cabernet - it releases aromas of fresh blackcurrents and mint, chocolate shavings, leather, wild herbs and tobacco leaf. The palate is firm and full, it has gobs of dark berry, prune and molten chocolate flavours and the finish is impressively long with spiced tobacco flavours. It is still young and tightly wound but give it some time in the cellar and be sure to decant prior to serving. Delicious! ©copyright 2010 Daenna Van Mulligen

Burrowing Owl Estate Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Luscious! This Burrowing Owl Winery Cabernet Franc oozes black raspberry, star anise, vanilla, chocolate, cedar chips and fragrant dark floral notes. The palate is equally seductive - laden with juicy berries, cocoa and licorice, vanilla and cigarbox flavours. The flavours flow seamlessly into one another creating an experience rather than an experiment. The finish is long and smooth but also juicy, trailing spiced chocolate and fine espresso flavours.

Burrowing Owl Estate Syrah, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
An impressively complex wine that shows what BC can do with Syrah in the right location. Blackberries and plums with plenty of chocolate, cedar and spice, a hint of graphite, espresso and savoury undertones of garrigue and smoked meat. Those savoury aromas reappear on the palate - it's a gutsy wine, chewy, meaty and concentrated with great acidity and flavours of char grill, mocha and fine white pepper with ground coffee and spice flavours lingering on the finish. ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen

Gorgeous typical Syrah aromas - pepper, pepper, pepper, savoury herbs and cherries with undertones of mocha.
