Bodega Casa Montes 'Don Baltazar' Petit Verdot, San Juan Argentina, 2008
Readers rated this wine:

Captivating aromas of dark chocolate, black cherries, fragrant dark flowers, sunwarmed purple berries, vanilla liqueur and baking spices. The palate toes the line with concentrated purple fruit and floral flavours, sweet spices and mocha chocolate languishing on a supple (but still lively) palate.
It's a substantial wine with an international style that is choc-a-bloc full of flavour.
Pair with burgers, ribs, spicy bratwurst dogs or chile.

Bodega Vistalba 'Corte A' Argentina, 2007
Readers rated this wine:

This is a mighty hefty bottle. In fact, I was quite certain it was a 1.5 litre bottle until I double-checked the label.
Corte A is followed up with Corte B and Corte C ('C' I have reviewed the past several vintages) and is a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon with Bonarda. It is made by Carlos Pulenta and is an intense and hefty red to match its vessel.
The potent scents of black cherries, chocolate, baking spices and banana fill your glass. It is supple and generous, very substantial and smooth with plush black currents, vanilla, and chocolate lounging in sweet spice. The finish is lengthy, the tannins fine and ripe.
Excellent.

Bodega Vistalba 'Corte C', Lujan de Cuyo Mendoza Argentina, 2009
Readers rated this wine:

Made mostly of Malbec, with 20% Cabernet from vines more than 60 years old in the renowned Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza.
Consistently impressive and wonderfully fragrant. Seductive aromas of blueberry and raspberry lead and are trailed by juicy cherries, vanilla, rose petals and a hint of sweet mocha chocolate. The palate offers pleasing high-toned fruit, which is layered with toasted spice, roasted coffee and chocolate. It's a smooth wine with a supple weight and long, clingy finish.
Fantastic.

Bodega Vistalba 'Corte C', Lujan de Cuyo Mendoza Argentina, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

Made mostly of Malbec, with a good dose of Cabernet from vines more than 60 years old in the renowned Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza.
A consistently plush wine, almost potent in style.
The 2010 is still very youthful - and it's holding its cards close to its chest. What it does give up is purple berries, violets and sweet spices, chocolate and vanilla. The palate is generous - it has gobs of juicy purple berries and baking spices with lively acidity to keep it bright. The structure is firm, it's full-bodied and supple, the tannins are ripe but have grip.

Bodega Vistalba 'Tomero' Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:

An impressive and substantial Cabernet made with the addition of 5% Merlot.
Expect aromas of spicy black currents, prune plums, dark cocoa and roasted coffee beans underscored by succulent layers of smoked spices, roasted meat and wild herbs. The palate is a reflection of the nose - spiced black plums lead toward dark mocha, and spice. It's a potent wine with impressive concentration and a spicy chocolate finish.
It's a powerful wine, with 15% alcohol.
Pair with grilled red meats, hearty pastas or hard cheeses.
