Reflective with brilliant golden glints. Brimming with sweet, ripe tropical fruit, smoke, mineral and grassy nuances with a dollop of honey and a whiff of smoke.
The flavours are pristine, crisp citrus and herbs, the texture smooth and softly rounded and the finish clean and delicately spiced.
A mouth-watering combination with shellfish or goats cheese gougeres.

While we rarely have time to sip Sauterns (the honeyed, golden liquids made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle) it's nice to know that when we have some friends over and want to finish a meal (or just serve cheese) we have a handy little bottle, which is quite affordably priced.
It has the aromas of apricots poached in syrup, honey and chamomile tea followed with earthy, almost mushroomy undertones. The palate is unctuous and slick and culminates in a caramel, honey finish. Nicely balanced, not too, too sweet and entirely enjoyable.

Just arrived!
A new product (with screw-cap) from Selbach - pale straw in colour with clean, crisp aromas featuring lemon, white peach and white grapefruit, slate with a hint of smoke, warm honey and undertones of lemony herbs. The palate kicks off with snappy, zesty acidity, a pop of sweetness rolls in mid-palate and the finish is mouth-watering with a bit of grapefruit pith.
Clean, off-dry, very refreshing and what a great linger.

When you get bored with your everyday Chardonnay or want something and less obvious than Sauv Blanc to pair with fish or just a platter of bread, cheese, nuts and olives, look no farther. This Albarino has an appealing slightly golden hue with honeyed, leesy almost nutty aromas and ripe tree fruits and citrus. Nice complexity in the mouth, a creamy rounded palate weight balanced with racy acidity and a long dry finish.

Minervois is located in the Languedoc~Roussillon region of Southern France. The important red grapes here are Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, so you can be sure some of those are in this blend.
It's a rustic wine, hearty and grounded with aromas of cherry, wild berry, garrigue, mixed peppery spices and dried herbs with an earthy, dark cocoa core. It has a firm structure and grippy, spiced palate. A good value weekday dinner wine for simple, hearty dishes like roasted meats, stews or spaghetti bolognese.
