The Mavety family has been growing grapes high above Vaseaux Lake in the South Okanagan since 1971. Since 1991 they have been making their own wines under the Blue Mountain label. Soon they will be labelling their wines as Okanagan Falls under the new sub-GI.
Consistent and always stylish with classic charm, the 2016 Pinot has distinct savoury/umami tones. Aromas of red cherry and red current, fine spices, fleur de sel, leather and tealeaf roll into a similar palate with silky texture, high-toned red fruit and spice. Complex and engaging.
