Summerhill Winery "Cipes" Brut, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
The Cipes Brut is a Riesling-based, traditionally-made sparkling wine that continues to be a favourite of British Columbian wine fans.
The Cipes is consistent - juicy green apple aromas, honey, orchard blossoms, baked apple brioche and talc with a core of leesy/bread dough notes. This bubbly is the best of both worlds - creamy yet vibrant with lively peach and grapefruit flavours supported with a backbone of toast. Some very nice complexity, a smooth mousse and a mouth-watering finish will have you coming back for more!

Tangled Vines Gewurztraminer, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
Very ripe stone fruit aromas - mango and peach - with star anise and super sweet Turkish Delight...Crisp grapefruit, exotic spices and peach compote, rounded and quite oily on the palate with a spicy, zesty finish. Not a dry wine but would pair nicely with a spicy stir-fry or chilled right down and paired with wasabi peas on the patio...

Tinhorn Creek 'Oldfield Series 2 Bench White' Okanagan Valley, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
In this year of Tinhorn Creek's 15th Birthday, a fresh label adorns the most recent 2008 vintage releases. A simple, elegant paper label will appear on all of the upcoming new releases. And the new premium Oldfield Series labels (previously called Oldfield's Collection) have a touch of gold font to differentiate them from the classic range.
The aromas in this five-variety blend (Semillon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Muscat) are of creamy, spiced pears, mandarin peel, vanilla and Meyer lemons. It's crisp and dry on the palate with a long finish.
Pair with curried, grilled shrimp skewers

Sporting it's clean new label to celebrate Tinhorn Creek's 15th anniversary this recently released Chardy is less about caramel and more about crisp.
Ripe apple/pear and loads of bright citrus followed by hints of vanilla and sweet spiced nuts. Very lively, leaning toward tart on the palate with juicy lime and mineral flavours followed up with toast and spice on the finish.

Tinhorn Creek Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009

About 1/4 of this Chardonnay spent 2 months in new French oak barrels and was lees stirred to lend its creamy texture.
Aromas of butterscotch and ripe pear, apple peel and sweet spice with bright citrus notes. It has a nice weight and has a slightly creamy edge to soften the lively acidity. Flavours of butterscotch, spice and vanilla echo the aromas.
Nicely balanced.

This light-coloured late harvested (the end of November 2008) Kerner has orchard fruit aromas of pear, apple and stone fruits with creamed honey and delicate herbal tones. It is surprisingly dry but still counts as a dessert wine, the palate is slick, the acidity lively and it lingers with lemon drop flavours on the finish.

Tinhorn Creek Pinot Gris, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
To celebrate 15 years of making wine on the Golden Mile near Oliver, Tinhorn Creek has changed their label into a simple, elegant paper version. This Pinot Gris has crisp green pear, mineral and star anise aromas with citric undertones. The palate has a slight creaminess, thanks to spending time on lees and flavours are of orchard fruits, citrus and light spice.
Pairs extremely well with savoury caramelized onion, apple and goats cheese tarts.

Twisted Tree 'Second Crossing' Pinot Gris~Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007

Delicious...I love what these guys are doing with wine but I visually prefer their Twisted Tree label more.
Lemon, melon, stone fruits, mineral and vanilla - sweet spices and golden pineapple appear as it warms in your glass. The palate has a plump texture, its zippy and fresh with tropical and stone fruit flavours, spices and vanilla with a hint of white pepper and marzipan - this could be my summer sipper...

Twisted Tree 'Trio', Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Viognier is somewhat rare in the Okanagan but Roussane and Marsanne are even more so. Last years Viognier Roussanne blend from Osoyoos' Twisted Tree impressed me, so I was happy to see this Rhone-style Trio blend of Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.
Expect complex aromas of peaches, lime oil, exotic floral and honey, plenty of mineral and citrus with savoury, garrigue undertones. The palate is rich, almost unctuous in texture but the acidity is bright and snappy with loads of mineral, citrus and a hot, spicy finish.

White Bear Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Vally BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
A trio of White Bear wines are being launched on Earth Day 2009. From the Artisan Wine Company, these crisp quaffers are donating 15% of their sales in an honorable effort to support the habitat preservation of BC's Great Bear Rainforest for the Kermode Bear also known as "Spirit Bear".

Mission Hill Rose, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
A very tasty blend of Merlot and Pinot Noir, the Mission Hill rose bucks the trend of this years powerhouse pinks coming from BC producers. Delicate yet mostly dry it suggests aromas of guava, red berries, earthy spices, crushed flowers and orange peel. Crisp on the palate, light-medium bodied with flavours of red fruit, citrus and fine spice - very easy sipping or pair with grilled fish, soft cheeses or spicy vegetable pakoras.

Rigamarole Rose, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
The label says, "Why is it such a Rigamarole to convey the wonderous virtues of a great dry rose?"
A good question indeed, but really folks, are we still having a discussion about whether or not to drink pink? The world, after all, is drinking pink, and that's not just blush.
Rigamarole, part of Mission Hill's Artisan Wine Company is cran-ruby in colour with aromas of sour cherry and fine spice, strawberries and forest floor with hints of watermelon. The entry is dry, it picks up a bit of sweetness mid-palate, the acidity is bright and it has nice structure with flavours of berries and orange peel, licorice and cloves. The finish is fresh and crisp - an easy-sipping wine to cool down with.
