There is good value in this fresh and fragrant Sauvignon Blanc. Expect pretty aromas of peach and guava with delicate floral notes and a hint of sweet herbs. The zesty, lively palate is offset by a softly rounded weight and slightly creamy texture. Approachable and very quaffable.

Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
A treat for Chardonnay lovers this rich version smells of butterscotch praline, caramelized pear and juicy melon, vanilla and sweet spice. It is a creamy wine with ripe tropical fruit and citrus flavours with plenty of toasted oak, roasted spices and especially clove lingering on the finish. It is an obviously toasty style but it balances the oak nicely. ©copyright 2010 Daenna Van Mulligen

Mission Hill Reserve Viognier, Okanagan Valley BC, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
When Viognier is good, it is soooo good and this is a good one! Aromas of spiced peaches lounging in honey, citrus zest and frangipani blossoms with hints of almond oil and exotic spice. The palate is expectedly slick with spicy, plush flavours of stone fruit, ginger, star anise and lively citrus. The key here is the lively acidity, which balances the weight of the Viognier and give lift to a mouthfilling wine. Delicious!

Poplar Grove Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
This Naramata Bench based producer has just completed a new winery and tasting room - just in time for your summer visit. The Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel (to maintain freshness) then 20% was placed in French oak barrels and left on the lees for nine months. Ripe pears and stone fruit, vanilla, butterscotch and burnt orange aromas lead to a concentrated and creamy palate. Flavours of spiced, candied nuts and buttered toast are layered with exotic citrus flavours. Great concentration, deft use of oak and a long mouth-watering finish.

Prospect Winery Ganton & Larsen Project "Larch Tree Hill" Riesling, Okanagan Valley BC, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
Like all of the Prospect Wines, this Riesling does not hold back on bouquet or flavour and it is served up at a fantastic price. Honey and Gala apples, apricot and lomeon peel aromas with pretty floral undertones. The palate seems just a smidge drier this vintage (which I really like), and offers flavours of marmalade and bright, tangy grapefruit lingers on the finish. Excellent value!

Quails' Gate Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
A tempting compilation of aromas - cherries and raspberry, violets and cedar chips, warm sweet spices and rainforest floor. There are powdery tannins across the palate and it has some impressive power - here flavours of red fruit, cigarbox and spice are strapped to an earthy core. There is quite a bit of texture this vintage and a long finish with fine tannins. If you liked the 2008 vintage you won't be disappointed by the 2009.

Robin Ridge Chardonnay, Similkameen Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Robin Ridge is a small, family owned estate winery in the Similkameen Valley in the South Okanagan west of Osoyoos. It was fermented in French oak and was lees stirred to add complexity. The aromas here are very sweet - vanilla, candied pineapple, butterscotch and sweet spice. The palate offers a generous weight and pleasing flavours of spiced pears and grilled pineapple and it trails sweet spice and vanilla.

St Hubertus Chasselas, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009

This gently aromatic, and rare variety (most commonly found in Switzerland) has aromas of apples, snap peas, spring blossoms and citrus. It is crisp but off-dry with sweet citrus and tart green apple flavours. It has a nice roundess to the palate and lively acidity. Stag's Hollow 'Con~Fusion' Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
The name Con~Fusion is derived from the fusion of multiple grapes varieties: Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc,, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Muscat. It's a fragrant, vibrant wine that stands tall in the follow up Conundrum-style white blends. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, Turkish delight, orangeblossoms, rose water, melon and candied citrus peel. The palate offers similar sweet fruit - tangerine citrus, exotic spices, notably star anise and rose water. It is slick and nicely weighted on the palate with bright cleansing acidity and a smooth flavourful finish.

Stag's Hollow Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Valley, 2010

From Stag's Hollow's Osoyoos vineyard, this fresh Sauvignon Blanc offers plenty of peachy aromas, floral talc, citrus and sugersnap peas. Similarly, the palate provides bright citrus, white nectarine, lemon grass and flower water flavours followed by a mouth-watering, peachy finish. A very pretty Sauvignon Blanc with a hint of residual sweetness, which will pair nicely with spicy dishes or shellfish.
