Oyster Bay

New Zealand

Oyster Bay Chardonnay, Marlborough New Zealand, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

Aromas of fresh pineapple slices, butter and vanilla, juicy lemons and caramel with fine oak spices. The palate follows suit - it has attractive vibrancy and buttered toast flavours layered with fine spice and citrus zest. It has a pleasing roundness in the mouth and a medium-length finish.
A wine to pair with corn on the cob, pastas in cream sauces or buttermilk fried chicken.

Oyster Bay Merlot Hawkes Bay New Zealand, 2010
Readers rated this wine:

Here's a good example of the freshness that New Zealand red wines offer.
This Merlot is medium to full-bodied with layers of plum, red berries, coffee, toasted spice and herbal notes. The palate echoes the nose and is bright and peppery with coffee, plum and tobacco tones.
It's a wine, which will also benefit from ten minutes in the fridge before serving.

Oyster Bay Merlot Rose, Hawke's Bay New Zealand, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
A beautiful hue, the colour of cherry juice with fresh red berry and sour cherry aromas and a hint of crushed flowers. Dry on the palate with crab apple, tart berries and some cedary, spiced nuances. Bright acidity with a zesty, contemplative finish this rose has some power to it - allowing it to be paired with anything from cheese and appetizers to fish and lighter meat dishes.

Oyster Bay Pinot Noir, Marlborough New Zealand, 2011
Readers rated this wine:

Here is a fresh style with good "Pinosity" (Pinot Noir character), which offers cherry and raspberry, white pepper and delicate spice with cedarbox, carrot tops and the expected forest floor notes. It's approachable and juicy with silky fruit, cocoa and fine spices lingering across the finish.
Very tasty paired with salmon, barbecued duck spring rolls with ponzu sauce or a veggie mushroom burger.

Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand, 2011
Readers rated this wine:

A well-recognized and highly quaffable Sauvignon Blanc that presents fresh gooseberry, green apples, lime zest, grass clippings and fresh herbs, on the nose. It is zesty in the mouth, layering guava, passionfruit and citrus flavours. It's not an overly herbaceous style of Savvy and it trails white peach on the finish.
Good as a sipper, or pair with fish or salads.
