Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley BC, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
If there's anyone who really carries a torch for Cabernet Franc, it's Tinhorn Creek alongside winemaker Sandra Oldfield and viticulturist Andrew Moon. The 2010 offers mixed red and black currents, cocoa, savoury spices, dried herbs and sweet vanilla. The palate follows suit - it has a very pleasing weight and freshness in the mouth and flavours of currents, cocoa and spice mimic the nose. Consistently good.
Recommended pairings: grilled sausages or grilled portobello mushrooms, burgers or rich tomato ragu pasta

Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Merlot, Okanagan BC, 2005
Readers rated this wine:
Red berries and cherry fruit aromas with secondary cocoa, spice, leather and plummy notes. Medium-bodied with a nice dose of acidity on the palate, similar berry and cocoa flavours with char and pepper, finishing with fine, earthy tannins. A good food wine that would pair well with most meat dishes and meaty sauces. 60%Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot ©copyright 2007 Daenna Van Mulligen

Tinhorn Creek Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Sporting it's clean new label to celebrate Tinhorn Creek's 15th anniversary this recently released Chardy is less about caramel and more about crisp. Ripe apple/pear and loads of bright citrus followed by hints of vanilla and sweet spiced nuts. Very lively, leaning toward tart on the palate with juicy lime and mineral flavours followed up with toast and spice on the finish. ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen
