Tinhorn Creek 'Oldield Series 2Bench' Rose, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
A delightful blushing salmon-copper rose that is reminiscent of those from the South of France. Made from almost equal parts Cabernet Franc and Syrah, it is a sensationally fragrant wine that provides strawberries, kumquats and citrus blossoms on the nose. The palate has the perfect amount of sweetness to make the strawberries in cream, pink grapefruit and orange peel flavours pop and the perfect amount of acidity to make your mouth water in anticipation of the next sip. Enough punch and structure to hold up to some serious eats; salmon, white meats; Dungeness crab on a croissant, gourmet pizza - you name it! ©copyright 2013 Daenna Van Mulligen

Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley BC, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
The best Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc I have tasted yet! Aromas of juicy blueberry, red currents, violets and licorice with baking spice and oregano undertones. The palate follows suit - sweet fruit, licorice, flower waters and warm spice flavours. It has a very pleasing weight (not too heavy, not too light) with bright acidity to balance and powdery coffee tannins lingering across the finish. Very good
Recommended pairings: grilled sausages or grilled portobello mushrooms, burgers or rich tomato ragu pasta
