Trivento

Argentina

Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec, Argentina, 2005
Readers rated this wine:
A dense, rich purple-garnet colour with sweet, fresh berry aromas, chocolate, blueberry syrup and allspice notes. Smooth on the palate with more fresh berry flavours, vanilla and oak spices with firm tannins on the finish.
Watch for the June 2008 focus on Argentina in BC Liquor Stores.

Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec, Lujan de Cuyo Argentina, 2008
Readers rated this wine:

Loads of luscious fruit - black cherry and blackberry, vanilla and licorice aromas atop sweet vanilla and underscored with rich dark earth. The tannins are fine and ripe - the palate leans toward potent with generous dark fruit and spiced cocoa flavours. It's a full-bodied and utterly engaging wine with a long chocolaty finish.
Great for anything you can throw on the barbecue, burgers or even pizza.

Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec, Lujan de Cuyo Argentina, 2009
Readers rated this wine:

Spicy purple berries, plums and vanilla, cloves and licorice, with plush chocolaty aromas atop succulent notes. The palate leads with supple and sweet fruit, it has a potent, liqueur-like intensity. It's also an approachable wine, but not one lacking structure. Wonderful balance here and a delicious baking spice and vanilla flavoured finish.
Great for anything you can throw on the barbecue, burgers or even pizza.

Trivento Malbec Reserve, Mendoza Argentina, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
Aromas of ripe raspberry and blackberries, peppercorns and mixed spice with a hint of bacon fat. The palate is, as one would expect from Malbec, meaty and quite savoury with a supple entry and flavours of dark berry fruit, spice and leather and again, peppercorns. The acidity is bright, the tannins take hold mid-palate and stick. Good structure and power, a wine made for meat and robust sauces.
