Hess

California
Napa Valley

Hess Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 2005
Readers rated this wine:
There's dense fruit and an appealing supple texture in this magnetic Hess Cabernet. Black current and fat, juicy black cherry aromas with sweet spice, coffee and dark chocolate. The aromas return on the palate with a smooth lingering finish.
Think barbecue, pizza or burgers...

Hess Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
A blend of Cabernet, Syrah and Merlot from vineyards in Napa, Mendocino and Hess Lake California.
If you get to California you must check out Hess in Napa Valley and the Hess Collection gallery...
Sweet, smoky cherry, leather and spice, currents and a hint of chocolate on the nose. Fresh, with bright red fruit and chocolate flavours, tannins start to grip the mid-palate and linger through the finish.

Hess Select Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 2008
Readers rated this wine:

You won't be disappointed by this generous Cabernet. It offers aromas of cassis and chocolate covered plums, vanilla and minty/herbal undertones. It is smooth and approachable on the palate - blueberry and cassis, vanilla and chocolate reappear and are lashed with tobacco and spice, which lingers across the fnish.
Made of grapes from Mendocino County, Lake County and Napa Valley.

Hess Select Chardonnay, Monterey California
Readers rated this wine:
The Hess is a crowd-pleaser with its aromas of sweet golden pineapples, vanilla, lemon peel and nuts with toasted oak undertones. The palate is an echo of the aromas - fresh and creamy with tropical fruit, citrus, vanilla caramels and spice. A solid style with an attractive weight that will pair with roasted chicken, creamy corn chowder and creamy pastas.

Hess Select Chardonnay, Monterey California, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Despite the cooling winds of Monterey, the Hess Chardonnay is still a very ripe and buttery style. Obvious butterscotch and warm spice, pineapple and vanilla with orange cream and exotic citric notes. The caramel continues on the palate with a mix of sweet spice (loads of star anise and clove), vanilla, tropical fruit and citrus flavours with toasted oak on the finish. Lively acidity keeps it bright.
