Finca Los Aljibes

Spain

Finca Los Aljibes Aljibes, Castilla Spain, 2005
Readers rated this wine:

This Vino de la tierra de Castilla is nearly equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc that has been aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels and already has some solid age on it.
Unarguably fragrant - berries and crushed flowers, vanilla, patchouli, rich dark earth and a hint of licorice. It is a supple and full-bodied wine with lovely fresh acidity and firm structure. Flavours of dark fruit, tobacco leaf, spice and bittersweet cocoa flavours linger with roasted/char hints.
