Baby Duck Sparkling, Andres Canada
Readers rated this wine:
At only 7% alcohol this could be considered a bit of a breakfast wine.
I love this job!
Its uber pinky-red and pretty!! Okay it tastes like sweet tarts-but not nearly as sweet as I expected not not nearly as
mouss-y either. Smells like candied strawberries and candied rockets (rolled Hallowe'en chalk candy). Tastes light clean and sweetish, like a valentines kiss (except I'm drinking it in October) with sporadic bubbles and a long strawberry cinnamon-y finish.
Highly underrated and good clean fun!

Moody Blue, Andres Canada
Readers rated this wine:
I drank this pretty pinky-red, lightly sparkling wine out of straws at outdoor highschool parties called "pit parties" (obviously because they were usually held in tastefully decorated gravel pits). I'm too old to apologize now, but when I found out this wine could be had in a 1.5L bottle in LCBO stores for a mere $12.00 I knew I had to revisit my naughty-naive youth. The scripted text on its classic denim label says "A sassy sparkling blueberry flavoured wine refreshing when cold" and I would not hesitate to agree. The Moody Blue is concord-grapey smelling with hints of candied blueberry and penny candies. The flavours are sweet (although not as sweet as expected) reminiscent of cinnamon hearts and chalky 'sweet nothings' candy. Sweet memories! ©copyright 2006 Daenna Van Mulligen

Peller Estates Private Reserve Trinity Icewine, Okanagan BC, 2004
Readers rated this wine:
Trinty-meaning three and in this case a blend of Vidal, Riesling and Ehrenfelser. A sparkling golden-yellow shade, the Trinity has honeyed aromas of tropical fruit, apricots, pears in syrup, orange blossom and baking spices. Sweet and silky, slippery on the tongue with flavours of sun ripened blood oranges, vanilla and candied citrus peel. A triple treat!
Chocolate: Spiced chocolate, sweet ganache filled truffles and Purdy's Hedgehogs.
Cheese: Yes! Especially blue veined ©copyright 2006 Daenna Van Mulligen

Peller Estate Family Series Pinot Blanc, Okanagan Valley, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
Very good value, a buy-by-the-case white. There is nice concentration of fruit in this wine - aromas of stone fruits, white tree fruit (like apple and pear), lemon peel and delicate floral talc notes. The nectarine, apricot and pear aromas reappear on the palate with a burst of juicy citrus that lingers across the finish. Lively but with a nice roundness that feels slightly creamy on the palate. Suggested pairings: scallops in cream sauce or mild creamy curries. ©copyright 2011 Daenna Van Mulligen
