Always a delicious Cabernet Franc, the Burrowing Owl Winery version erupts with chocolate covered cherry aromas, currents and wild herbs followed by warm spice, dark earth and a savoury core of smoked meat. It is a full-bodied wine, fresh with bright berry fruit and hints of cedarbox and pepper lingering. The tannins are firm, the palate is still youthful and a bit tight but give it some time and decant prior to drinking.

You'll want to dive right into this glass of Cabernet - it releases aromas of fresh blackcurrents and mint, chocolate shavings, leather, wild herbs and tobacco leaf. The palate is firm and full, it has gobs of dark berry, prune and molten chocolate flavours and the finish is impressively long with spiced tobacco flavours. It is still young and tightly wound but give it some time in the cellar and be sure to decant prior to serving.

An impressively complex wine that shows what BC can do with Syrah in the right location.
Blackberries and plums with plenty of chocolate, cedar and spice, a hint of graphite, espresso and savoury undertones of garrigue and smoked meat. Those savoury aromas reappear on the palate - it's a gutsy wine, chewy, meaty and concentrated with great acidity and flavours of char grill, mocha and fine white pepper with ground coffee and spice flavours lingering on the finish.

The 2008 vintage Burrowing Owl Chardonnay is very citrusy on the nose with layers of spiced oak and caramel, vanilla and candied nuts. The palate echoes the same vibrant citrus, toasted nuts, spice and caramel. It is a long and lively version of Chardonnay with spice flavours lingering on the finish.

Plush and decadent this Burrowing Owl Chardonnay presents grilled pineapple, warm spice and toast, caramel and a whiff of orange blossoms. A powerful wine, at moments brooding and intense and then supple and seductive....
Chocolate covered cherries and cassis liqueur waft out of the glass followed by spice and leather, sage and sweet menthol, pencil shavings and rich dark earth. The palate has a smooth entry, it's dense and forward with ripe fruit, tobacco, mocha and spice to elevate the heat. The finish is long and the spice lingers....
Tasting pretty good right now, but if you are a cellar fiend a few years won't hurt.

This is a wine that brings back memories from a decade ago - served by-the-glass at Vij's Restaurant in Vancouver where it was a wonderful pairing to his spicy Indian cuisine.
Juicy fruit-cup aromas - sliced peaches and pears in honey, subtle warm spices and mineral undertones. Silky and wonderfully fresh on the tongue with creamy fruit flavours and a crisp seam that runs throughout.

Made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc - usually with the addition of Malbec and Petit Verdot this Bordeaux-style blend shows impressive concentration.
Primary chocolate, plum and forest berry aromas with undertones of tobacco leaf, peppery spices, roasted bell pepper and wild herbs. The peppery spices jump out on the palate with layers of dark berry, char, smoke, sunbaked earth and oak spice. This is a wine that is sturdy, dense - almost chewy - with nice acidity and firm tannins on the finish.
Impressive structure - one for the cellar.

You can never go wrong with the familiar Burrowing Owl Pinot Gris, it is as charming the first time as the last you've had it.
Exprect aromas of pear compote and ripe peaches with layers of exotic flowers, vanilla, citrus and honey. On the palate the same pleasing fruit, vanilla and citrus reappear bound in a creamy texture with brisk acidity.
Pair with creamy mushroom dishes or seafood.

Very aromatic - crushed dark floral aromas, ripe cherry, cedar box, patchouli, forest floor and cranberry undertones. Rich, bordering on potent with chocolate, espresso, wild berries and spice. Smooth with balanced acidity and obvious tannins.
A very tasty wine but with more power than you may expect from a Pinot Noir.
