A solid value, everyday dinner red, which offers plenty of black fruit, coffee and peppery notes underscored with grilled herbs, smoked meat and toasted spice. The palate shows mixed sweet red and black fruit flavours layered with roasted espresso and dark chocolate with toasted oak on the finish.
A wine for barbecued dishes, spaghetti Bolognese or frilled portobello mushrooms.

Familia Zucchardi's Santa Julia Magna is made from one halk Cabernet Sauvignon with 40% Malbec and 10% Syrah.
It offers dark briary fruit, bitter sweet cocoa and mocha with plenty of peppery spices. It is medium-full bodied with a somewhat chewy palate that carries savoury spices, grilled herbs, smoke, dark mocha and dark earth. A wine for roasted or grilled meats, grilled vegetables, portobello mushrooms and hearty pastas.

Familia Zucchardi's, Santa Julia Pinot Grigio, is very fresh and very fragrant. It leads with sweet pears and honey, melon and tangerine, white blossoms and has musky/earthy undertones. The palate does not disappoint either - loads of pink grapefruit and orchard fruit flavours - good intensity and a clean, snappy finish.
A wine for pastas with creamy mushroom sauces, crab or a simple chicken salad.

Sustainably conscious wines are becoming more common (and important) every year and Familia Zuccardi is one of those producers who are emphasizing not only sustainable agriculture but energy conservation, wildlife preservation, green fertilizers and social welfare programs.
This is a great everyday dinner red, which offers spicy red plum and black berry aromas, toasted peppery spices and dried herbs with a very meaty, smoked and savoury core. The palate follows suit with black fruit and plenty of savoury flavours underscored by saline and spice. It has an attractive weight and acidity to brighten and balance.
Pair with grilled meats or hearty wild mushroom ravioli.

A solid Mendoza Malbec that falls under my "good value" suggestions.
Gobs of black cherries, mocha and sweet spices with just a hint of white pepper. There is quite a chewy qualiity to the texture, it is full-bodied with flavours of dark fruit, mocha, roasted coffee beans and pepper. The finish is dark and smoky trailing bittersweet cocoa flavours.
