Vina Cobos 'Felino' Chardonnay, Mendoza Argentina, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
A nicely balanced Chardonnay, which will please those of you who crave the bold buttery and fuller-bodied version. The aromas are pineapples and melon, creamed butter, brown spices, roasted nuts and a leesy, toasted oak core. But it is also fresh on the palate with a slick weight and plenty of citrus peel, toasted nuts and spice flavours with a buttery edge. A very attractive Chardy with a long finish. Pair with creamy pastas or polenta, smoked cheeses, roast chicken.

Vina Cobos 'Felino' Malbec, Mendoza Argentina, 2010
Readers rated this wine:
Vina Cobos is a winery (owned in part by international winemaker Paul Hobbs), which focuses on only four varieties - Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The focus is here in the bottle as well - it is earthy with dark peppery aromas layered with black plums and blackberries, dried herbs, vanilla, carob, spice rubbed meat and roasted coffee. The palate leads with sweet fruit and coffee, it has a supple, glycerol weight and balanced acidity to keep it from being too heavy. It is concentrated and succulent with a smoky finish. Undoubtedly, a wine to pair with grilled or roasted meat, but alternatively a hard, crumbly cheese.

Vina Cobos 'Felino' Malbec, Mendoza Argentina, 2011
Readers rated this wine:
Vina Cobos is a winery (owned in part by international winemaker Paul Hobbs), which focuses on only four varieties - Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. It's a potent wine oozing dark chocolate and espresso aromas layered with toasted spice, black plum and blackberries - the core is earthy with savoury dried herbs and leathery aromas. The palate is supple and very concentrated, sweet, ripe berries flavours lead to a long spiced mocha finish.
Undoubtedly, a wine to pair with grilled or roasted meats, but alternatively hard crumbly cheeses and hearty spiced chili.
