Prune plums and currants, dark chocolate, peppery spices, raspberry notes and sweet herbal undertones. Fresh, bright red fruit, tobacco and spices on the palate. Circus Alta Torrontes, Argentina, 2009
Readers rated this wine:
The unique Argentine grape variety, Torrontes produces a supremely aromatic wine. The Circus presents a fragrant bouquet of stone fruit, lime leaf and exotic flowers with a spicy core. The texture is slick, it's a weighty, potent white with plenty of lime peel, mineral, stone fruit and marshmallow flavours peppered with spice. Impressive concentration and lively acidity throughout.

Circus Cabernet Sauvignon, Argentina, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
While Argentina continues to reel in wine lovers with its value Malbecs, I have become a fan of their Cabernet... The Circus provides a seductive version of it with juicy cassis and blueberry aromas, sweet aromatic spices and cedar. The palate is medium-full-bodied and very fresh with the same decadent berries and sweet cedar box spice blend on the tongue. Providing support are earthy, smoked flavours and finally pepper spice on the finish... Very tasty! ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen

From Escorihuela, who also produces Argentina's Don Miguel Gascon wines. The Circus Cabernet has appealing savoury and fruity aromas of cherries, cassis, vanilla and sweet spice aromas with smoke and grilled meat lifted by fresh herbal notes. It has youthful freshness and a smooth texture with red fruit, spicy herbal flavours, a hint of roasted pepper and tobacco. Nice structure and a rounded palate leads to smooth tannins and spiced oak flavours on the finish. A solid weekday dinner wine option. ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen
