Cooralook Pinot Gris, Victoria Australia, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
A very impressive Pinot Gris made mostly from Strathbogie Ranges grapes with 10% from Mornington Peninsula. It has had enough skin contact to lend it a pretty salmony/golden hue and it releases lovely aromas of pears and honey, spring blossoms and hints of spice with tropical undertones. It is rich in the mouth with a creamy texture and bright acidity, the finish is extensive and faintly spicy. ©copyright 2010 Daenna Van Mulligen

It's a very fragrant Pinot releasing aromas of crushed dark flowers and cedar chips, bright berry fruit, toffee and sage with some beet greens mixed in. The palate is bold and expressive with sweet fruit, mocha and cedar box spices. The texture is velvety the tannins sweet and firm.
