Trivento Malbec Reserve, Mendoza Argentina, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
Aromas of ripe raspberry and blackberries, peppercorns and mixed spice with a hint of bacon fat. The palate is, as one would expect from Malbec, meaty and quite savoury with a supple entry and flavours of dark berry fruit, spice and leather and again, peppercorns. The acidity is bright, the tannins take hold mid-palate and stick. Good structure and power, a wine made for meat and robust sauces. ©copyright 2009 Daenna Van Mulligen
